Teens Going for Gold Network inspires Secondary School Students in Ijokodo, Ibadan

Share

On 24th June 2022, the Project Inspire School Tour train stopped at Community Secondary School, Ijokodo, Ibadan. With the theme “Creating Value: Ditching the Get-Rich-Quick Mentality”, the tour advocated the need to desist from the worrying trend to get rich quickly and at all cost. They were encouraged instead to build wealth by creating value that others will pay for. This was one in a series of event designed to advocate the need to prioritize value creation over money as part of the #ItsNotOkay campaign.

Volunteers of our Ibadan team, led by the 22 year old Toluwanimi Obisesan facilitated this school visit while the guest speaker was Arc. Ade Obasa. A prolific speaker and adolescent teacher.

The event which was preceded a Train-the-Trainers session designed to incentivize against cybercrime and advance fee fraud (yahoo yahoo) was a very successful event as we were able to help many teenagers unlock the desire to earn money ethically and legally.
