Project Inspire in Nassarawa – Bakin Ado Secondary School

Share

On Monday June 6, we started the Project Inspire School Tour with our team in Abuja visiting Bakin-Ado Secondary School Nassarawa state. With the tour themed “Creating Value: ditching the get-rich-quick mentality”, the objective was to help teenagers understand money, and how to acquire it ethically and legally. It was also designed to disabuse their minds against cybercrime and other advance fee fraud scams that has become rampant in the society today among youths and adolescents.

The session included a plenary session led by Atiku Nafisa-Adejumo, Founder, Girls Just Want to Run and it was very engaging and enlightening to the participants. This session was followed by breakout mentoring sessions facilitated by volunteers of Teens Going for Gold Network. The sessions were based on our manual designed to incentivise teenagers against cyber crime which was launched during the Train the Trainers session held with volunteers of Teens Going for Gold Network.

The Abuja team is led by the State Project Manager, Osayuki Omogun and Isaac Yohanna.
