Are you a young girl aged between 12-19 years? Do you have an opinion on what your future should be like? Can you lend your voice towards creating a sustainable future for yourself and other generations of young girls? Here is your chance to make this happen!

Women and Career Organization is launching an essay competition for young girls like you to write on the topic;
The Future We Want: The Time is Now

The WnC Essay Competition is organized by Women and Career Organization and is an opportunity for secondary school girls between 12-19 years old to share their ideas and viewpoints with the world at large.

Sounds like an opportunity to you? All you need to do is stand a chance at winning $50 and a book worth over $15 in addition to mentorship sessions is to submit your essay of no more than 700 words in English on or before 30th September, 2020.

Rules


The competition is open to all 12-19 year old girls from all countries.
Essays should not exceed 750 words in length.
All essays must be in English and must be in word or pdf document format.
Only one entry per applicant.
Attach a passport photograph.
The deadline for submissions is 30 September, 2020.
Five finalists shall be selected and requested to submit their means of identification (school identity card, National I. D card, birth certificate, or any other means of identification) and a 1-2 minutes video on why they should be selected.
The three winners will be announced on 11 October, 2020 which is the International Day of the Girl-child (IDG2020).

Prize


Winner: $50 and a hardcopy book of Be Fearless by Jane Egerton-Idehen.
1st runner-up: $30 and a hardcopy book of Be Fearless by Jane Egerton-Idehen.
2nd runner-up: $20 and a hardcopy book of Be Fearless by Jane Egerton-Idehen.
