
Teens Going For Gold Network Empowers 10 Nigerian Teenagers To Be Examplary Global Citizens
Tens Going For Gold Network, on the 27th of August, 2021 empowered ten teenagers with Global Citizenship wisdom during a webinar organized for members of the Achiever’s Trybe, Teens Going for Gold Network’s capacity-building and accountability community for teenagers and young adults.
The event, which was tagged, “Finding Your Place In The World: A Guide To Global Citizenship” was hosted by the Achiever’s Trybe community manager, Ms. Sarah Akenbor.
The event’s guest speaker, Barrister Omotayo Koleosho, educated the teenagers on what global citizenship entails and emphasized on the need for teenagers to be involved with the situations of other people from different corners of the world, citing the Black Lives Matter movement, End SARS and wildfires in Australia.
Concluding, she stated the importance of being involved in our communities and gave examples of how teenagers can participate in issues going on in their locality and other countries with an emphasis on writing.
