Project Inspire School Tour: Teens Going For Gold Network empowers 80 female students in capacity-building event

Participants said attending the event prepared them to be more aware of themselves and their goals, and to be more responsible for their future.

Following hot on the heels of her public-secondary-school-focused anti-cultism campaign in the capital city of Nigeria’s Edo state, Teens Going For Network has recently empowered about 80 female secondary-school finalists with practical mind-and-life tools for creating their desired futures.

The Nigeria-and-Africa focused 360-degree education patron did this during her Project Inspire School Tour event at Emotan Girls’ School on Tuesday.

The event, which was tagged: “The Future Starts Now: Practical Steps Towards Your Desired Future,” featured a self-discovery session, a career discussion and a breakout session, during which the girls were directed through the process of creating individual vision boards for their lives.

Participants said attending the event prepared them to be more aware of themselves and their goals, and to be more responsible for their future.

Others said it helped them to see the importance of maintaining discipline, developing one’s mind and making informed career and life decisions. Meanwhile, the highlight for some others was learning how to set progress trackers for evaluating progress towards their desired future.

Teens Going For Gold Network’s Project Inspire School tour continues across other Nigerian cities including Lagos, Ibadan and Abuja shortly.
