Going For Gold: 13 Year Old Junior Racer Signs Deal With Top Formula 1 Team Mclaren

13-year-old racer, Ugo Ugohchukwu, has done Nigeria proud on the world stage with his latest deal with McLaren Racing team.

The young Nigerian recently won FIA European carting championship. And with his latest contract, McLaren will be supporting him as he scales through the junior categories of the sport.

His mother, Oluchi Onweagba, took to her Instagram page after the positive news to appreciate God for the blessing.

Hours after, the federal government through the head of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa congratulated the teenager for making the country proud as she said that the boy is the first Nigerian to get such honour in motorsport.

He is another African teenager going for gold, and we love to see it!
