Kreative Diadem Poetry & Flash Fiction Contest

Deadline: November 1, 2020

Following the huge success of previous editions of the creative writing contest, Kreative Diadem invites young people aged 21 and below to participate in the 2020 Creative Writing Contest which comprises 2 categories: Poem and Flash Fiction. This is a competition for the next generation of writers and poets in Nigeria, with exciting prizes to be won.

Eligibility

You must be 21 years or younger as at December 2020. Candidates older than this age will be disqualified automatically.
Competition is open to Nigerian residents alone.

Prizes

1st Place: Poem – N30,000 ; Flash Fiction – N30,000
2nd Place: Poem – N15,000 ; Flash Fiction – N15,000
3rd Place: Poem – N5,000 ; Flash Fiction – N5,000

Submission Guidelines

The submitted work must be unpublished before submission.
The maximum amount of words for the flash fiction category is 1, 500 words.
For the poetry category, all poems must have a title.
Poems should be original and should not exceed 40 lines.
Every contestant is entitled to only ONE category.

All submissions should be forwarded to contests@kreativediadem.com.

The subject of the mail should read – 2020 Kreative Diadem Annual Creative Writing Contest.
The body of the mail should contain the following: Name, Email Address, Phone Number, Age, and Title of Entry.
Please attach the entry itself as an MS-Word file. Save the MS-Word file in this format – “Full Name – Title of Entry”
Format your work as follows: Times New Roman, font 12.
